Anabel Group launches pageant and reality show

Anabel Group, the parent company of Nigerian’s leading mobile
phone and first Nigerian hand held pocket computer and Smart
phone producers, Anabel Mobile, has launched its entertainment
division to promote Nigerian and African talents in movies,
music, art and the culture industry.
Anabel Entertainment is focused on production of world class
music and entertainment events, movie production and television
reality programmes and documentaries, the President/CEO Anabel
Mobile Mr. Nicholas Okoye stated that Anabel will be retooling
Nigerian talents in the entertainment industry in an effort to
make them acceptable to international audiences in the United
States, Europe and Asia.
Anabel Entertainment was formally unveiled recently at the
Genesis Deluxe Cinemas in collaboration with an international
Movie Premier” Inglorious Bastards” starring Brad Pitt. The
Event attracted several Nollywood celebrities where Anabel’s
Okoye expressed commitment to the Nigerian Entertainment
Industry. The Anabel Princess was also unveiled at the well
attended event to announce the competition, the winner of the
competition who should be between the ages of 18 and 25 will be
chosen from those invited to the camp. The winner will get the
title Princess Anabel and after which will be flown to the
United States for an all expenses paid week in Hollywood with
Meagan Good and her friends where they will attend a true
Hollywood red carpet event.
Anabel’s marketing and Products Manager; Itohan Amusa- Eke
stated that “Anabel Mobile has come to stay. We will continue to
support the Nigerian ICT market with our quality products. We
will also continue to promote the Nigerian entertainment
industry, as we stated during our launch that Anabel is a modern
21st century company borne out of the triple convergence of the
telecommunications industry with technology and entertainment
industries. We are very passionate about the entertainment
industry and we expect the industry to experience significant
growth over the next few years, we are positioning to be a part
of that growth and to raise the bar in terms of high quality
world class movies, music and entertainment events. Nigerian
artists are doing very well in the Nigerian entertainment
industry. It is our resolve to retool them too for cross over to
the international market. They can compete with their
counterparts in the international market if given the
opportunity and the right exposure.”
