CeBit 2005

The world leading technology trade show CeBit holds with global giants such as Siemens, Samsung and Motorola displaying their latest addition to the ever changing.

These players have a strong presence in West Africa, particularly in Nigeria. But the hordes of other major actors on the IT scene, what they have on offer will fail to shine in Nigeria exciting but still largely underdeveloped market.

With poor infrastructures and a market heavily in need of more investment, Nigeria market is certainly not ready for dozens of digital solutions more advanced economies are likely to get from the major IT actors ranging from software, hardware providers, integrators, makers of domestic electronic appliances to chip makers.

But there were government eyes to see things as they are and perceive the future as it unfolds in the small German town of Hannover which has become famous for its yearly technology trade show.

Nigerian government officials include Ernest Ndukwe, executive vice chairman nof the Nigerian Communications Commission and a commissioner of the NCC Olawale Ige.
