Warehouse Group is one in Ghana
Computer
Warehouse Group (CWG) Limited is one year in
Ghana and is clicking Champagne glasses to count its
blessings.

"We have
surmounted a lot of challenges to become one
of the best solution providers in only a year," said Group
Managing Director Austin Okere at the Golden Tulip Hotel,
Accra where an anniversary ceremony was held.
In 12
months, CWG (Ghana) Limited has been able to sign on over
15 major players in Ghana such as Spacefon, Ghana Telecom,
Ghana's Ministry of Tourism, University of Ghana and
Standard Trust Bank (Ghana) limited among others.
For the
CWG family,it was a ceremony in commemoration
of the growing bond between the private sector in
Ghana and Nigeria and the emergence of a collaborative
ventures among IT players of the two countries.
Ghana and Nigeria combined share a population figure
of about 175 million with Nigeria having 150m. Both
countries carry the most vibrant economies in the
sub-region.
"There is
only one thing I want to say and that is
'We did it," said Joe Jackson of Soft Tribe,CWG
major
partner in Ghana.
The
Nigerian High Commissioner Dr Olatunji Kolapo
described CWG success as the embodiment of the
Nigerian spirit and a testimony that affirms that
Nigerian companies have values to add to Africa's
economy. An impressed Kolapo said he looks forward to
having more of the CWG type on the continent.
To Ghana's Minsiter of Communications Albert
Kan-Dapaah the CWG's success and partnership with Soft
Tribe demostrates the beauty of what a cross-border
relationship can cause. The sub-region has more to
benefit if such relations are encouraged and
sustained.
CWG is
one of Nigeria's leading IT palyers offering a
basket of services in hardware, software and
communications. It debuted on the Nigerian scene 12
years ago and has since foraged into Cameroon and the
Gambia. It is currently prospecting for business in
Angola and has its ultimate ambition as getting quoted
on the Nasdaq.
