Omatek repositions, recruits new hands
Nigeria’s leading computer assembly company Omatek
Computers Limited is repositioning as it turns three this
year. With new hands in its management team, fresh plans
for expansion of its countrywide sales channels,
and unloading of state-of-the art laptops into the
market, Omatek announced at the weekend it would
carry out several promotions this year to get more
Nigerians own computers at affordable rates.
“We are putting more systems on the table at a price
most people can pay for to join the Federal
Government in its campaign at spreading IT
diffusion,” said CEO Mrs. Florence Seriki in Lagos at the
weekend to “thank Nigerians and the Nigerian
government including those of the states for their
patronage and support.”
President Obasanjo formally unveiled last year Omatek,
which already enjoys the endorsement of the
International Telecommunications Union (ITU). This
year Seriki said the company would be pushing a marketing
theme geared at helping more Nigerians to be truly
technology compliant.
New on deck are Michael Owolabi, Abuja Branch Manager,
Mr. Banji Hammed, Logistics Manager, Mr. Adelaja Emmanuel,
Group Human Resource Manager
and Mr. Sam Adeyemi, Business Development / Channel

buyers to have optimum use of their products.
“We are simply doing our best in carrying out a vision
that is truly Nigerian. The Omatek dream belongs to the
entire Nigerian people whether as a nation, corporate
organisations or private individuals. The responsibility
to ensure that the vision works therefore belongs to all
Nigerians” said Seriki who was recently honoured by
